MACH-25 Rocketry Competition & Conference
Location: Machrihanish Air Base
The event provides university students an opportunity to develop practical, hands-on mechanical and electronics skills, with industrial technical support provided to the teams remotely. Mach-25 includes skills workshops supported by national space companies. The rocket-based event sees undergraduate students design, build and launch a rocket and CanSat - a simulation of a real satellite integrated within the volume and shape of a can.

The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival is an event for all the family which celebrates traditional and contemporary Scottish, Irish and Pan Celtic music. Based in Campbeltown, the event has a great mix of free outdoor events, concerts, ceilidh’s, music sessions, workshops, children’s entertainment, heritage and whisky trail walks, and parades in large venues to intimate halls.
